Retire learning material students should no longer see

Where: Courses → Unit library → open the unit → open the document

  1. In the sidebar, open "Courses" and click "Unit library".
  2. Open the unit, then open the document you want to take away (for example the learner guide or the interactive course).
  3. Click "Retire this …" (for example "Retire this learner guide").
  4. Read the message. It tells you how many course sections use it right now, and whether this is the only published version the unit has.
  5. Click OK to confirm.

What happens next The document is archived, not deleted. Students reading it stop seeing it straight away, on every course that uses this unit. It stays in the document's history. To put it back, open the same page and click "Bring v… back".

Hide it on one offering only Some courses build their course flow automatically from the library. On those, open the offering, go to "Course flow", and click "Unhook" next to the step. Students on that offering won't see it, and the library and other offerings are not changed. Click "Hook back in" to show it again. Marked assessments can't be unhooked this way.

If something looks wrong If you don't see "Retire this …", it may not be switched on for your organisation yet. Contact RTO Grow support. If the document is the unit's only published version, retiring it leaves the unit without one until you publish a new one.
