Why the preview doesn't show your latest question changes

Where: The assessment editor and its student preview

  1. In the assessment editor, look for the orange bar "Unpublished edits — students are still getting …". This means your changes are saved as a draft but students still get the published version.
  2. In the student preview, a "Heads up" message tells you how many questions in your draft differ from the published version.
  3. To see your changes in the preview, click "Draft" at the top of the preview. "Live" shows what students get today.
  4. To give your changes to students, go back to the editor and click "Publish now".

What happens next Once published, students starting the assessment get the new version, and the preview's "Live" view shows it.

Hotspot (tap on a picture) questions A hotspot question needs at least one tap zone placed on the picture and ticked as the correct answer. If no zone is ticked, the editor warns you. Without a correct zone, the answer can't be marked automatically and goes to a trainer instead.

If something looks wrong If the question still doesn't show after you publish, close the preview and open it again. If the editor still shows "Unpublished edits", the publish did not go through. Try "Publish now" again.
