Change the signatory, signature and seal on certificates

Where: Overview → Settings → Certificates & cards (in the "Brand & documents" group)

  1. In the sidebar, open "Overview" and click "Settings".
  2. In the settings menu, under "Brand & documents", click "Certificates & cards".
  3. Find the "Signature, seal & defaults" card under "On every certificate".
  4. Type the person's name in "Authorised person — printed name" and their job in "Title" (for example Chief Executive Officer).
  5. Next to "Authorised person's signature", click "Upload" and pick a scanned signature. A PNG with a see-through background looks best. Click "Replace" to swap it later, or "Remove" to take it off.
  6. Next to "Corporate seal / watermark", click "Upload" to add your seal.
  7. Click "Preview certificate" to check how it looks.
  8. Click "Save certificate settings".

What happens next The new name, signature and seal print on every certificate type, including statements of attainment. They apply to certificates issued from now on. Certificates you have already issued keep the look they had when they were issued.

If you don't upload a signature, the signature line stays blank but the printed name and title still show. If you don't upload a seal, your logo is used as a faint watermark instead.

If something looks wrong If the signature still shows the old person, check you clicked "Save certificate settings", then issue or preview a new certificate. An old certificate won't change. To change the look of one certificate type (fonts, colours, layout), click that certificate further down the same page. Who may sign certificates for your RTO is your own compliance decision, so check with your compliance officer if unsure.
